The Bradenton real estate market is located physically close to the cities of Sarasota and Tampa Bay, which also means that the three markets are rather closely related. There are a number of community and city foreclosure workshops which seek to improve the chances of persons who might be faced with foreclosure in the Bradenton area, which has recently been experiencing a slight uptick. According to a September 29, 2009 article from the International Herald Tribune written by Todd Ruger, The Federal Trade Commission, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, HUD, VA Regional Loan Center, Sun Trust Bank, Fifth Third Bank, J.P. Morgan Chase, Manatee Community Action Agency, Manatee County Neighborhood Services, and a number of other organizations have signed up to provide foreclosure aid for the Bradenton area.

Bradenton homes for sale have recently been fetching more money on the market, according to an article from ABC Action News. The piece, written by Sean O’Reilly on October 20,2009, stated that “Home prices in Tampa Bay and across the nation have yet to bottom out according to a new forecast of real estate prices. According to Fiserv, a financial information and analysis firm, by June 30, 2010, the national median home price is predicted to drop by 11.3%, but the fall in Florida is expected to be even worse. The Sarasota-Bradenton market’s prediction is even worse. Fiserv says house prices in Manatee and Sarasota counties will fall 25.6% in the next eight months. The forecast notes that areas with high concentrations of foreclosure sales will experience the steepest drops.”

More positive news for real estate in Bradenton and the rest of Manatee County was reported in an October 13, 2009 article from the Bradenton Herald. The piece, written by Grace Gagliano, found that “The Brebaughs’ purchase was among 297 single-family homes sold in Manatee County in September, reflecting a 37 percent increase from the 213 homes sold in the same month last year, according to statistics released Monday by the Manatee Association of Realtors. September home sales also increased on a month-to-month basis. Single-family home sales climbed 6 percent from reported home sales in August.”
